Choice and Character
I thought of writing this post because of book name called 'Draupadi'. Today, I bought book which says lot more about the character of Draupadi which is not much covered in Mahabharata. After reading the summary of book I find yes it is completely true that person's choice, likes, dislikes says more about the person's real characteristic.
It reminded me one of my choice which actually reflects one of my character quality. :P Since my childhood I have heard Mahabharta number of times from my grandmother so Mahabharta's each character is completely clear in my mind. Thus, Krishna is my favourite character and mentor so the people who has important role in Krishna's life are more clear to me. One day, like a normal day I and one of my good friend was discussing about the relationships of Krishna. Actually, it was not about Krishna's relationship but it was more on general prospect. As we are aware Krishna's name can be call always with Radhaji but Radhaji was not his wife whereas Rukamaniji was his wife but we never take her name with Krishna. So all of sudden he asked Kinjal tell me which character you want to be 'Radha or Rukmani' if you get chance. Without taking any moment, I quickly answered 'Rukamaniji'. He was completely surprised he asked me for reason. But before that he told me that he was thinking that I will answer 'Radha' as she was love of Krishna. Surprisingly, It was not my answer. He asked me reason with all his curiosity. I simply clarified that dear friend anyone can be love of Krishna but 'TO HANDLE/MANAGE GOD'S HOME IS REALLY BIG RESPONSIBILITY AS HE IS THE ONE WHO MANAGE WHOLE WORLD SO HIS HOME MUST BE BIG RESPONSIBILITY'. I felt taking this responsibility means you have to take care that no one goes with empty hand and full fill all requirement, I think that's amazing feeling. Today, while reading book of 'Draupadi' I realized, yes it is somehow in my character from very beginning that I always take responsibility whether it is personal life or professional life.
When I discussed above thing with my friend at that time I was just step-in to my twenties. I did not understand how this answer came directly as at that age like other peers I should also have the Love as first choice. But when I look back to this incident then I can understand myself better. :) Yes, reviewing your own experience can decrease distance to yourself in order to understand yourself more. So, yes your every choice and every decision say something about your personality and character.
